Continental Specialties, commonly referred to as The Dutch Store in Barrie, is owned and operated by Pamela Field. The store originally opened on Mary Street in 1964 and then moved to Maple Street in 1972. In 1995 the store moved to its current location on Dunlop Street. The store has always been a
family-run business and Pamelas four sons have
all worked in the store or at the warehouse
which opened in 1995, which supplies not only
Continental Specialties but also other Dutch stores
across Eastern Canada.
